Library Announcements
It is important to check library messages daily. Information regarding library clubs, reading incentives, and special events, are advertised in the following ways:

Canvas Student Body
Every day I post messages in Canvas Student Body. You will be notified by an email that a message has been delivered to Canvas. You need to login to Canvas and visit Canvas Student Body in order to see the message.

Morning News Broadcast Each day the News Crew creates a morning news show. Mr. Largen makes important announcements regarding school policies, procedures, and special events. I often appear on the show as well to provide information regarding OMS library policies, procedures, book clubs, reading incentives, and special events.  

 If you are not receiving email notifications for Canvas Student Body, talk with your homeroom teacher first. If he/she cannot resolve the problem, then visit Ms. Tripp in the Technology Office located inside the media center – first door on your right.

Hall Message Board
A library message board is located in the OMS “squaretunda”. Get into the habit of reading the message board at least once a week. You will pass the board on your way to the cafeteria, gym, or during dismissal.

Media Center Webpage
The OMS Media Center webpage is updated monthly. You will find information about library skills being taught, Reading Incentives - the Genre of the Month and Author Birthdays for the month, Special Events such as “Library Card Sign-up Month” in September or “Hallowtween” activities in “TeenTober.”
