Sometimes we add new students to our classes after the beginning of the school year.  It is important to reach out to these new students and their families to quickly get them "in the loop."

As with the Room Parent Introduction & Classroom Parent Information Request Letter, it is gracious to send home a Welcome Letter with the new student on their first day of school (or as quickly thereafter as possible) to make contact, introduce yourself, request contact information, and offer your assistance with their settling in at Bethel as well as the Lake Wylie area in general.

Below is an example of a New Student Welcome Letter for your reference.

Also, be sure to send an Email message to your Classroom Rooms letting them know that a new student has joined the class so that they, too, can welcome his/er family.

My child, Insert Your Child's Name, along with the rest of Mr./Mrs. Teacher's Name class, is excited to add another friend to the class! 

With the addition of New Student's Name, we are now at # students (# girls & # boys).

As Mr./Mrs. Teacher's Name Room Mom/Dad/Parent, I would greatly appreciate getting your contact information (preferably an Email address, but a phone # will do & a printed version of communications can always be sent home) so that I can include you in our Classroom Contact List which is distributed to Classroom Parents only for class party, birthday party, teacher/assistant appreciation, & other informational messages.  

If you have Email, please send me a message at Insert Your Email Address Here with "Mr./Mrs. Teacher's Name Class Email Info" in the subject line.

In the body of the Email, please type your name(s) and phone number(s),  along with your child's name.

If you don't have access to Email, please write your name(s) and phone number(s), along with your child's name, on this sheet and return it to school with your child.

If you prefer not to share your information with the entire class, please let me know as I will not distribute your information to the group at large.
