Three Take Oath to Join Clover School Board
CLOVER – New members of the Clover Board of Trustees, Ginger Marr and Jay Young, as well as the re-elected Liz Johnson, were sworn in as they begin their four year terms on the Clover School Board.
Mrs. Liz Johnson was re-elected to seat 3, where she has served for the past 6 years. Mrs. Johnson is a retired educator and is currently the coordinator of the Stellie J. Jackson Enrichment Center. The center runs a school and summer enrichment program for Pre-K through 5th grade students.
Elected to seat 4, replacing Mr. Franklin Pendleton who served CSD for 24 years, Mrs. Ginger Marr has a pair of students currently enrolled in Clover Schools. She is the Manager of Presidential Relations and Special Projects at Queens University.
Mr. Jay Young won the open At-Large seat vacated by Mrs. Melanie Wilson who served the district for eight years. Young is a 1996 graduate of Clover High School who has worked as a Financial Professional with Prudential for 16 years. His wife, Courtney, works at Oakridge Elementary where two of the couple’s three daughters go to school.
The newly elected board members will serve four year terms. The school board convenes the third Monday of each month at the district offices located at 604 Bethel Street in Clover.
