Blue Eagle Academy has fully implemented a work-based learning program that started experimentally last year. Several high school students have been selected to assist the JBEA teachers and learn about the teaching profession through experiential learning. Students are in elementary classrooms for one of their blocks during the day and help with one-on-one tutoring, providing additional explanation, and participating in activities. This gives them a glimpse of the teaching world and in the words of one learner, "Who knew teachers did so much?" Participating this semester are high school seniors Brooke Abernathy and Chris Cook and junior Dakota Bishop.
