Fourth graders explore the artwork of Saul Steinberg.
In Mrs. Kettles' Art class, fourth graders have been studying the artwork of Saul Steinberg,
specifically his paper bag masks. Steinberg's masks were rather simple
in detail and at times comical. Many of his masks were worn to social
functions during the 1950’s.
The students had a great time designing
their own masks out of a paper bag following his guide lines. Once finished, several of the students had the opportunity to share their masks with Mr. Hemingway!
